Promoting Work-Life Integration
The rise of busy schedules enhances the
boundaries among work life and personal life. (Powell et al.,2019) Work life
integration is the balancing of personal and professional life environment of
individuals in an efficient way. This may lead to many advantageous over the
life of individuals. Flexible work arrangements which is meant by the
engagement of employee in a flexible free schedule of work which is an
essential need of human being. Clear communication is another characteristic of
work life integration which can enhance the communication between people in
order to establish safe and comfortable work environment. Initiation of
supportive policies is another important implementation which collaborate the
work life balance of people.
And also workload management is another
important parameter which involves the employee resource management. It helps
to promote the time management and work management of employee which promotes a
better and healthy work environment. (Denstadli et al.,2017) So, it is clear
that promoting a work life integration will add great advantages to employee in
their workplace. To implement a flexible work arrangement, it is necessary to
initiate new policies and regulations for flexible work. It may involve sharing
of work among employee and flexible shift basis arrangements. It is better to
have great boundaries among personal and work life to promote well balanced
life of employee. Employee should be advised not to engage in personal
circumstances while doing professional work.
Employee should give parental leave, childcare facilities, health promotion programs, scholarship opportunities for children of employee and other financial benefits which help employee to enhance work balance and satisfactory workplace. Other than that, it is better to have more advantageous executive board comprising of good leadership positions within the organizations. Training programs to unleash the potentials of employee while encouraging them to accept their open opportunities to the world is a better way of promoting work life integration.
There are numerous advantages of promoting work life intergration.Employee satisfaction is the topmost benefit of a work life intergration as employee feel satisfied and comfortable with their work.(Chapman,2013)So it positively affect the employee satisfaction which helps to increase productivity and efficiency of employee.Having a better physical and mental wellbeing is also a great advantage which lead to reduction of employee turnover and increase of employee engagement.(Millear,2021)When employee health is up,customers or the services also rises up which helps for the demand of brand name of the company with a good will.
