Creating a Supportive Work Environment
People are dedicating most of their time on
work specially at their workplace. So, having a more supportive and friendly
work environment is a blessing for them. Creating a supportive work environment
can enhance the productivity and engagement of employee at their work in a
positive way though people are not stressed and feel bounded in many
situations. (Miguel et al.,2023)
Supporting work environment is the place
where employee feel satisfied and comfortable at their workplace while they
were helped by the administrative bodies of the company to bring a more
productive work during working time. Top to bottom level equality, mental and
physical relaxation, optimistic and transparent thinking pattern, balance of
work and opportunities to grow while working are some of the major
characteristics of a supporting work environment. (Wu et al.,2021)
There are numerous advantages of creating a
supporting work environment. It can lead to talent acquisition as people are
attracted to this type of environment. And on another hand, having a supporting
environment may lead to high productivity through better employee engagement
and employee satisfaction. (King et al.,2021)
And also supporting work environment makes
employee happy and it is believed that it led to a long way. The research which
was carried out by Deloitte suggests that 88% employees and 94% executives
agree with that fact. The fact was proved by the founder and CEO of Alarm
Journal, Burak Ozdemir.
Creating a positive, supporting and
welcoming space is not a difficult task. The first and most important concept
is “All employees are human being.” To make the employees’ work environment
more supporting, leaders or the respected parties should take the
responsibility of initiating favorable decisions safeguarding employee health.
(Couser,2008) So, the hiring process of companies should be more humane though
the first impression for employee cause a great impact on their productivity.
It is essential to give employee to grow and develop while working to unleash
their potentials to the outside and let them to know about their growth and
potentials. (Littlejohn et al.,2012) And also the employee is more functional
and flexible towards the work process of the company which helps to encourage
people to be supportive towards every coworker. Focusing on collaboration and
communication plays a vital role in creating a supportive work environment.
And also to create more supporting
environment in the workplace, it is better to invest more on training, seminar
and various kind of fun activities to reduce the stress and support the
employee at workplace with a comfortable environment. So, creating a supporting
work environment is very important.

The blog makes several compelling points, supported by research, about the benefits of such positive work environment and provides a rationale for why businesses should prioritize it. Especially liked the fact about the inclusion of statistics from Deloitte and commentary from Burak Ozdemir showcasing widespread agreement on the positive correlation between a supportive work environment and employee happiness. Well done!
